Online again

Phew. I just got my internet connection this Saturday. Here are some pics and posts that I wrote earlier this month.


All kinds of guests attended
After a blessing given in Kodavathak (the dialect of our place of origin) by one of my uncles and a small puja (prayer ceremony) Bombay Dream slips on the engagement ring.
A view of the party from pretty close to the bar, the podium, where the engagement ceremony took place is off to the right-center.
Bombay Dream tries to read my face worried that it doesn't fit. It fits perfectly.
Sorry that this is on its side. This pic is one of my favorites, because I know how shocked Bombay Dream was that I actaully touched his feet. In this culture, after the ring is on my finger, I have to kaalpudi (touch his feet) a formal three times. To kaalpudi is to ask for a person (usually your elder's) blessing.
